Going west on the M4 will result in you joining the M25; London’s ring road. If you following directions to find a particular destination, such as a hotel, then the M25 is probably where the instructions start. The reason for this is that it can be entered from all points around London, and exited at many different locations – just look out for your desired junction number and you will be fine.
