I am writing this to let everyone know about the brilliant service we received when we used the Heathrow airport car hire.

We planned a trip to London for a week as a surprise for our children at the start of the holidays. We used the online booking system to book a car for our trip and it was very straight forward. Coming from Ireland it was not a very long journey but with two small children even a small journey can be quite hard work with all the excitement of a trip.

When we arrived at Heathrow airport we collected our luggage and proceeded to the car hire area which we had been told to go to. We found it really easily and the helpful people at the desk swiftly dealt with the whole car hire organisation and all that goes with it. It didn’t take long before we were settled in the car and on our way to enjoying our visit to London.

The car was lovely and spacious for us all and our luggage and it was exceptionally clean. We chose an automatic as we thought that would be easier to drive because we didn’t know the area. This was a good decision as it enabled us to drive around without getting too stressed.

We had such a lovely time taking in all the touristy sights like Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace.

Having the car also let us go out in the evening to see some shows with the children and feeling secure with them in London at night rather than going on the tube.

Finding A Good Meal Near Heathrow Airport

You may have heard already that Heathrow airport is the busiest airport in the world, and with all of those travelers arriving every day who are tired from the flight you just know there are going to be loads of bad fast food places popping up in the hopes of trapping you. But don’t worry, you have a choice, and you don’t need to waste your money on fast food. So just skip past all of that, get in your Heathrow airport car hire, and head out for a night on the town in one of the many great restaurants in the surrounding area.

One of the most popular types of food all over London would have to be Indian, and curry in particular, so if you’re staying near Heathrow airport or just waiting for your flight and you ask a local what restaurant they recommend they will probably tell you to go to Sipson Tandoori Restaurant. It is very popular with the locals so you may want to get in earlier in the evening to avoid the rush, but no matter what time you visit you can expect great service and fast too.

Maybe you just feel like a burger instead? Don’t settle for the same old McDonald’s, try the burgers and other great food at Woodys including what some are calling the best BBQ ribs in the area! There are plenty of other places to choose from, and with your car hire from Heathrow airport you won’t be short on choice.

Buy an around the world ticket, and pay around half price

A round-the-world trip remains life’s most rewarding journey. Of course, in a world obsessed by travel, travelers and travel agents are both trying to find the least expensive tickets and airfares available. Inexpensive airplane tickets, mostly, can be procured from wholesale dealers and discounters. If your necessities are straightforward – you would like a round-trip ticket from one place to another, you’ve a particular airline in mind and you have definite dates, then you can go right to the source – to the ticket discount agency which buys cheap tickets in large quantities from wholesalers and consolidators.

Inexpensive airfares to a specific area can regularly be found with local airlines specializing in that country. Occasionally an agency that operates and sells tours to a specific country will have a special discount agreement with the nation’s carrier and will sell reduced-fare tickets on that airline. With a little bit of research thru travel mags directed at the particular country of your choosing, you can frequently find agencies working with state carriers for that country. For the least expensive possible airfare to several places the cheapest prices are sometimes found in local travel agents that deal with a specific destination selling round-trip budget airline flights. Infrequently you’ll find an actually inexpensive air ticket with a reduction retail agency that makes a speciality of journeys to a bigger range of destinations or to multiple destinations.

Wholesalers rely on selling a large number of tickets so that they can command a reasonable discount. Best to read the details to clarify precisely what you are getting before you get a ticket – or you could be in for a surprise. You will find that all agencies do this, even the costliest ones, so do not be surprised if you get a quote at double the price from what was displayed in the ad. Airlines typically publish their booked flights and costs half a year ahead. If you have selected a destination it could be a great chance to get an ‘early bird’ discount by booking well ahead. Keep your eye on the travel press and also airline web-sites.

There are commonly special deductions and motivations aimed at travelers who book online, as carrying out a booking online is less expensive for the company than thru an intermediary who will take a commission. Joining an airlines email list or following them on Twitter are great ways to stay informed about upcoming bargains.
